Activities abound along the CicLAvia–Heart of LA route! You can also check out shops, eateries, local gems, and activities along the route using our interactive digital map.

Hubs

All Hubs will have:

  • Free Water stations and restrooms

  • First Aid

  • Bike Parking (brought to you by Amazon)

  • Free pedicabs – they stop at each Info Booth, just look for the sign! First come first served.

MacArthur Park Hub

  • The L.A. Zoo will participate with an information booth along with educational activities that will  inspire curiosity and wonder about the animals that call the great city of Los Angeles home.  The L.A. Zoo booth will consist of zoological artifacts, interactive games, and activities that you will be able to take with you on your ride home.

  • Stop by the Spin booth – they will be giving out free helmets, swag, and ride credits to attendees interested in learning more about shared e-scooter riding & safety in Los Angeles!

  • Join Shared Harvest | myCovidMD™ and get vaccinated against COVID-19! No appointment required. Vaccines are free for all! Our team of qualified health professionals will be offering all three COVID-19 vaccines: Pfizer (12 years and up), Moderna (18 and up), and Johnson & Johnson (18 and up - one dose). They're giving away gift bags, ice cream, and more! Take the next step in protecting your health and come party with them!

  • Visit REI at the MacArthur Park Hub and hang out in the REI Co-op Cinema Lounge with some cool drinks and treats while you relax in front of a movie screen featuring Co-op Studios short films and a LIVE DEMO with an REI Technician for a 15 Minute Fix-a-Flat Class - every hour.

  • Bring your bikes in need of a quick adjustment to our REI Tech Tents as well and they'll get you safely on your way. You will also have a chance to enter their sweepstakes for a PAIR of Co-op Cycle CTY 1.1 Bikes to share anyway you want.

  • Grab lunch at a food truck and enjoy your meal at the seating area brought to you by Cox Castle Nicholson.

Civic Center Hub

  • Check out Designing in Color's interactive birthday tribute to CicLAvia, highlighting the neighborhoods and communities across Los Angeles that we've enjoyed together. Make sure you tag us and Designing in Color in any selfies!

  • Visit the City of LA Department of Aging booth to send a postcard that will be provided with meals that older adults receive through the Senior Meals Program.  Learn more about the Department's services and work to connect participants with older adults who are self isolating during the pandemic.  
  • Sign up for a free LA Public Library card and look for the roaming Book Bike distributing free books to people with library cards.

  • Stop by the LINK by Superpedestrian booth to learn more about its recently launched dockless scooter program to the LA community. Meet their local team for free wallet credits, helmets, and a limited quantity of designed shirts by a NY based artist of LINK's vision for scooters. In partnership with LACBC, LINK will also be providing safe riding tips & how to ride guides for cyclists and scooter riders in multiple languages.
  • Grab lunch at a food truck and enjoy your meal in the seating area brought to you by Steinberg Hart.

  • Keep an eye out for the Bob Baker Marionette Strolling Puppeteer (10:30 am to 2:30 pm)

Chinatown Hub

  • Visit the LACMA booth to learn about the Obama Portraits Tour and Black American Portraits exhibitions opening November 7. Receive an art kit with a portrait-making activity and art supplies (while supplies last). And take your picture in front of the portrait wall!

  • Enjoy bites from one of the many local restaurants, challenge your friends to a match of ping pong, and enjoy other programming in Central Plaza and Far East Plaza, presented by the Chinatown Business Improvement District.

  • Stop by the LA Phil's booth and learn about their upcoming season!

  • Does your child need a helmet? Stop by the California Highway Patrol booth and get fitted for a free kids helmet (while supplies last).

Mariachi Plaza Hub

  • Enjoy musical performances at the Mariachi Plaza Bandshell presented by the Boyle Heights Community Market.

  • Capture a snapshot of your day at the Las Fotos Project photo booth.

  • Get Vaccinated against Covid-19! No appointment required. Vaccines are free for anyone 12 and up. Pfizer (12 and up) and Johnson and Johnson (18 and up) will be available.

  • The Boyle Heights Community Market will be hosting their holiday market in addition to their farmers market! Stop by and grab lunch, snacks, fresh produce and gifts for the holidays! Make a purchase at the Market and get a free limited edition CicLAvia Birthday Dessert button at the CicLAvia Info Booth at this hub.

  • Don’t have a helmet? Stop by the El Centro de Ayuda booth for a free bike helmet (while supplies last) and learn about their work in the community.

Along the route:

  • Capture your day with a photo at the roaming Snap Yourself photo booth! Keep an eye out for them along 1st street in Little Tokyo.

  • Grab a snack and fresh produce at the Historic Core Farmers Market on 5th St between Spring and Broadway (open until 3pm).

  • The Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation will be at the Arcade Theatre at 534 S Broadway to tell you more about the historic theatres up and down Broadway, with photos, history, and information about the theatres now open and those seeking renovation. 

  • CicLAvia’s Birthday Dessert Pop up: Help CicLAvia Celebrate our birthday! Stop by any of the businesses listed below and purchase a special CicLAvia birthday treat – each purchase comes with a different limited edition CicLAvia Button (only available on 10/10 at each store, while supplies last). Collect them all!

  • Looking for a fun way to explore the route? Use your Pokemon Go or Harry Potter: Wizards Unite app to discover special in-game locations and explore the local community!

  • Swing by the Metro Bike Share tents at 7th & Flower to learn more about the bike share program, grab a bike and pick up a limited-edition Metro Bike Share pin!

  • Metro Bikes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at nearby stations and at the tent. Plan ahead and download the Metro Bike Share app before the event to see real time dock and bike availability and to purchase a pass.
