November 15

Each Thursday, Union Station hosts a Train-to-Table Farmers Market from 11am to 3pm, on the South Patio. “The market will feature a wide array of fresh, local fruits and vegetables as well as fresh-cut flowers, artisanal baked bread, roasted coffee, and a host of small bites for lunch or a mid-day snack.” You can easily get there via Metro by taking the Red, Purple, Gold or Silver Line directly to Union Station.

November 17 & 18

Get more holiday shopping in this weekend (plus extra cool points for gifting a loved one local and handmade goods). Head to Pasadena’s Central Park for the Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair, featuring over 200 artisans, crafters, and DIY enthusiasts.  Bonus, it's easy to access via the Metro!

November 17

Shooting stars, satellites, and the dark side of the moon - the Griffith Observatory public star party is today from 2pm to 9:45pm.  These monthly parties are a free and cool way to check out our amazing city and solar system.

Want to go car-free more often and make cycling part of your travel routine, but not sure where to start? Today’s Bike 2 - Rules of the Road Class from 9am to 11am will help you learn how to safely (and legally) take to the streets. Learn the rules of the road, route planning and tips to make cycling safe and convenient. “From what to wear to bicycling etiquette, they’ve got you covered!” The class is presented by some of our partners: Metro, BikeSGV, and the City of Glendora.

Near the Long Beach Airport? Check out the Festival of Flight from 10am to 4pm; you can enjoy the food and beer trucks while taking a gander at a number of airplane and vehicle displays along with live music in a kick-off of their 95th-anniversary celebration.
