What kind of Volunteer Opportunities are there?

All volunteer opportunities focus on the safety of CicLAvia participants on the route and pre-production prior to the event. Opportunities can include:

Pre and Post:
Data entry in the office, on the ground canvassing along the route, community outreach tabling at events and assisting with packing/unpacking and inventory of merchandise and signage.

Riding the route assisting participants with basic bike repairs, assigned to a crossing point along the route, or providing information to participants at one of our hubs.

How long are shifts?

Shifts can vary by role. Most shifts last 3 hours on day-of. However, several shifts during pre and post can last from 2-4 hours. Most in-office shifts can last between 4-6 hours. Shift estimates will be listed on each position. 

What is the minimum age to volunteer?

The minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old. Volunteers under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

Volunteers must be 14 years old by the date of their shift. 

Will I need to attend an orientation?

CicLAvia provides an orientation presentation for Adopt-An-Intersection groups only. 

Are there any incentives for volunteering?

All volunteers will receive a CicLAvia Volunteer Shirt for their time and also to wear during their shift!
