Thanks to this incredible community, CicLAvia has achieved so much in 2024. Together, we transformed LA’s streets into spaces for collaboration, creativity, and exploration — places where we can slow down, connect, and appreciate the city in a new way.
Take a look at what we’ve accomplished together this year:
37 Miles of Open Streets: In December, we celebrated our 57th CicLAvia Sunday, and brought our 2024 season to a close opening up 37 miles across 8 events. This year we returned to the Heart of LA, South LA, and the Hollywoods, and introduced new routes in Lincoln Heights and along Melrose Ave.
5,906 Hours of Volunteer Power: Our events wouldn’t be possible without our incredible volunteers! In 2024, 979 Angelenos contributed 5,906 hours to help CicLAvia thrive — thank you for your energy and generosity.
1,227 Outreach Miles Walked: Our Outreach Team hit the ground running (literally!) in 2024, collectively walking over 1,227 miles to make sure everyone along our routes were ready for CicLAvia Sundays. We knocked on 4,292 doors, visited 2,760 businesses, and joined 65 community events to ensure that CicLAvia felt welcoming and inclusive for all.
16 Full-Time Staff: A small and mighty group of just 16 full-time staff work year-round to bring each event to life. Alongside them, 65 part-time staff join us on event days to create a safe and joyful experience for everyone.
9 Occasions to Celebrate Street Stars: This year, we hosted 9 Friends of CicLAvia gatherings, bringing together our monthly supporters to share meals, connect, and strengthen our network of advocates. Becoming a Street Star is a great way to meet like-minded Angelenos and support our mission throughout the year.
CicLAvia is about reimagining our city streets as welcoming spaces for everyone — places for walking, running, rolling, skating, cycling, gathering, and enjoying the moment. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on your support to continue bringing opportunities for meaningful community connections, mindful exploration, and greater understanding across Los Angeles.
