CicLAvia 2025 Season Snapshot

Powered by our dedicated staff and incredible community, CicLAvia has opened streets in Los Angeles for the 15th year. Together, we created miles of open streets, countless smiles, and moments of connection across the region. Each CicLAvia Sunday this year reminded us what’s possible when we reclaim streets as safe spaces for people to walk, roll, and gather together.

Take a look at what we've accomplished together this year:

34 Miles of Open Streets: This season marked our 64th CicLAvia Sunday and our 15th year! Across 7 events, we opened over 34 miles of car-free streets, connecting 22 Los Angeles neighborhoods. We revisited South LA, Hollywood, Koreatown, Melrose, and the Heart of LA, while adding new routes in West Adams and Pico Union. Each route celebrated local culture and created space for Angelenos to connect. To help participants plan their unique experiences in these neighborhoods, we shared over 180 local gems in our blogs this year!

1,218 Miles Walked, 5,502 Doors Knocked: Our Outreach Team covered some serious ground to make sure every community along each route was ready for CicLAvia Sunday. Collectively, the team of 28 walked over 1,218 miles, knocked on 5,502 doors, and connected with 2,954 local businesses, making each event inclusive and community-driven. Our outreach materials were translated into 8 languages, ensuring that residents across LA had access to event information.

Volunteer Power: CicLAvia thrives thanks to our volunteers. Over 500 volunteers showed up in full force this year from over 115 zip codes, contributing over 2,200 hours of their time to keep our streets safe and vibrant. From route marshals to hub helpers, they bring the energy to every CicLAvia Sunday.

The People Behind the Streets: Behind every open street is a dedicated crew of 16 full-time staff, 28 part-time staff, and 13 volunteer board members, working throughout the year to make each event possible. Beyond our street events, our team represented CicLAvia at 48 community events, connecting with new partners and neighborhoods across Los Angeles.

Meaningful Impact Across Los Angeles: CicLAvia Sundays brought together over 100 civic, community, and non-profit partners, who provided essential resources along the route. Together, our partners gave away over 1,200 helmets, shared resources, and inspired participants to engage more with their communities.

Celebrating our Street Stars: Street Stars are the monthly supporters whose ongoing generosity sustains CicLAvia. This year, we brought them together at 8 Friends of CicLAvia gatherings, including a visit to The Huntington, to share conversations and great food.

Capturing Moments: Our photographers captured over 4,500 unforgettable moments, documenting the joy, creativity, and expression that thousands of Angelenos brought to the streets.

Impact Beyond Event Days: When asked, 88% of participants told us they were more likely to walk in their neighborhood after attending a CicLAvia event, and 99.3% want more events in their neighborhoods. When we open our streets, we reshape how we move and imagine Los Angeles.

Looking Ahead: CicLAvia continues to prove that when we open our streets, we expand the possibilities of our region. As a non-profit, we rely on your generosity to keep this movement rolling and create even more opportunities for joy, connection, and active mobility in 2026.
