Activities Along the Route

Activities abound along the CicLAvia–Heart of LA route! You can also check out shops, eateries, local gems, and activities along the route using our interactive digital map.

Hubs

All Hubs will have:

  • Free water stations and restrooms

  • First Aid stations

  • Bike parking

  • Free pedicabs – provided by AARP, the pedicabs stop at each Hub's Info Booth, so just look for the sign and yellow umbrella! First come first served.

  • Free bike repair (more info below)

Echo Park Hub

Swing by the Metro Bike Share tents to learn more about the bike share program, snap some pics in their photo booth, grab a bike and pick up limited-edition swag! Metro Bikes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at nearby stations and at the tent. Skip the line and plan ahead by downloading the Metro Bike Share app to purchase a pass. Don’t forget to tag @bikemetro on social, and always remember to return your Metro Bike to a station or to a Metro Bike Share team member at Echo Park hub or Mariachi Plaza hub to end your trips.

Las Fotos Project will be offering a community photo booth! Join them in celebrating a day at CicLAvia.

Stop by the LA City Clerk’s booth and get information on the uploading election and register to vote!

Does your child need a helmet? Stop by the California Highway Patrol booth and get fitted for a free kids helmet (while supplies last).

Visit the LA Zoo’s booth and think like a scientist!  They will be sharing  different skulls and pelts to make observations about animals and their habitats!

Stop by the 826LA booth to learn more about their free writing programs for youth from ages 6 to 18.  From Tutoring to Field Trips, all their programs are centered on having students explore writing and grow their creative voices. 

Grab lunch from a Food truck and picnic along the Echo Park Lake!

Grand Park Hub

Join LA28 at the Grand Park hub to learn about the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games! With the Opening Ceremony kicking off July 14, 2028, the Games will be a platform for inclusion, optimism and youthful energy, showcasing the best of our city and our people. Several all-star Olympians and Paralympians will also be onsite as we celebrate our communities with fun activities and giveaways!

Visit the Los Angeles Public Library booth to learn about library resources, services and interact with our StoryWalk® of Monica Brown's Waiting for the Biblioburro. StoryWalk® is an interactive way for children to learn new words, describe things and events, learn how to follow a story in sequence, and enjoy a story together.   “The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.”

Stop by the REI booth and get your likeness captured by a digital caricaturist or get a personalized bicycle license plate.  If you’re an REI member, come say hi and pick up a member reward. Plus, their amazing bike techs will be available for basic services.

LADWP will provide information about electric vehicle rebates, conservation tips, program discounts and rebates. You can also charge your phone, powered by a solar trailer.

Explore the universe with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, located off the 210 freeway in Pasadena. Snap a deep space selfie with stunning imagery from the James Webb Space Telescope, snag a NASA sticker (pro tip: they look great on helmets), and immerse yourself in frightening Halloween space art!

Visit the LA Phil’s booth where they will have information about their current and upcoming concert season, and free swag including stickers, tote bags and water bottles. 

Stop by the LA County Registrar/Recorder’s booth and get information on the uploading election and register to vote

Celebrate Grand Park’s 10th Anniversary! They are hosting a family festival during CicLAvia featuring wellness activities, music, dance, food and event happenings. The programs will spotlight their long-time community partners, non-profits and small businesses with workshops and events that raise awareness and exemplify the power of creative expression. For a full list of activities and festivities click here. They will also have a bike valet set up on Broadway, just north of 1st street!

Grab a bite at a Food Truck and have a picnic at Grand Park!

Near the hub:

Grab a snack, a gift and/or fresh produce at the Historic Core Farmers Market on 5th St between Main and Broadway (open until 3pm). Make a purchase at the market and stop by one of their two information booths (Spring/5th and Harlem Pl/5th) and get a FREE limited edition CicLAvia button.

The Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation (LAHTF) will be outside the Arcade Theatre 534 S Broadway.  LAHTF will be raising awareness of the importance of the three neighboring theatres which are currently all shuttered and include both the oldest and newest theatres in the Broadway Theatre District.  Stop by to learn about the history of the theatres, the Broadway Theatre District, and how you can help ensure they're preserved for future generations.

Chinatown Hub

Sit down and relax at our seating area and listen to tunes from the Solar DJs, brought to you by LA3C.

Visit the LACBC booth to learn more about how to make LA a more livable community through biking and also stop by to spin our prize wheel and win a biking related prize. 

The City of Los Angeles Community Investment for Families Department will be providing bicycle and pedestrian safety information, and will be giving away FREE Youth bike helmets and wheel Reflectors (while supplies last).

Visit the LADOT Transit booth to get more information on DASH services, spin their wheel for giveaways and sign up for students & senior TAP cards.

Enjoy bites from one of the many local restaurants, challenge your friends to a match of ping pong, and enjoy other games, live music and activities throughout Chinatown, presented by the Chinatown Business Improvement District.

6th Street Hub

Visit the Skanksa booth to learn about all three of their business units and their respective projects throughout Los Angeles - one of which is the 6th Street Bridge! 

Get your COVID19 Vaccine/Booster or your Mpx Vaccine! Walk ups are welcome, or you can pre-register here. All ages and COVID19 vaccines will be available.

Join LADOT to learn more about projects to create safer streets and improve mobility for all. Share your ideas for making LA a better place to walk, bike and roll! 

Complete the kids bike safety skills course and get a free kids helmet (while supplies last) courtesy of CicLAvia.

Stop by the Los Angeles Clean Cities Coalition (LA Sanitation & Environment) booth to learn more about clean transportation and fuel-saving methods, including alternative fuel vehicles and ways to reduce gas consumption. They will have additional resources about incentive and rebate programs and online tools for alternative fuel and electric vehicles.

Grab a bite at a food truck and enjoy it alongside a view of the new 6th street bridge!

Visit the Los Angeles STEM Collective at Hollenbeck Park where they will have information on local STEM programs, resources, and activities for the whole family. Mariachi Plaza Hub

Relax in the AARP play zone while catching up over vintage board games. Fun for all ages! They will also have a variety of giveaways (while supplies last)!

LA City Planning will share information about the Community Plan Updates and Policy initiatives underway, and upcoming opportunities for community engagement. 

Stop by Council District 14’s booth to learn about relevant city resources, and grab some swag including water bottles, bags, and more (while supplies last).
