Activities abound along the CicLAvia–The Valley route! You can also check out shops, eateries, local gems, and activities along the route using our interactive digital map!

Hubs

All Hubs will have:

  • Free water stations and restrooms

  • First Aid stations

  • Bike parking

  • Free pedicabs – provided by AARP, the pedicabs stop at each Hub's Info Booth, so just look for the sign! First come first served.

Canoga Park Hub

Come by and check out LADWP’s Charge Up L.A. booth and learn about the rebate programs and see a new Mustang Mach-E EV. LADWP is committed to creating thousands of public, workplace, and fleet charging stations creating EV communities across Los Angeles.

Relax in the AARP play zone while catching up over vintage board games. Fun for all ages!

The Office of Congressman Brad Sherman will be offering constituent service along with free assistance with federal agency needs. 

The Office of Councilmember Bob Blumenfield will share information about City projects and resources in the Third Council District, and respond to issues and concerns of West Valley residents.

The non-profit arts organization, 11:11 Projects will be offering complementary lush products for anyone who signs up to their mailing list.

See the Metro Art Bus up close!! People can get on the bus to see the artwork inside, take selfies, and pick up various goodies including a fun paper pop-up Metro Art Bus and note cards featuring the artworks.

The City of LA Civil + Human Rights and Equity team will promote their department's programming that maintains and strengthens the city's diversity, equity, and accountability. They will also be distributing promotional materials regarding their anti-hate campaign, "LA For All". 

Join the Canoga Park Youth Arts Center for a fun tin art project using an embossing technique to create works of art that reflect on memory, transportation, and LA history. 

The Canoga Park Neighborhood Council will offer promotional items, a spin-to-win wheel, and a sign up sheet for their website. They will also have information about the neighborhood council.

California State Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel’s team will be offering a variety of state resource pamphlets, a chance to talk one-on-one with field representatives from their office, tote bags, and reusable drink tumblers. 

The Los Angeles Public Library will be signing people up for library cards if they need or want one. They will be talking about LAPL's free resources and branch programming. The book bike will also be at the event and will be full of books to give out to the public.

Los Angeles City Planning will have opportunities for participants to learn about and provide input on the new land use and zoning proposals for the Southwest Valley Community Plan Updates. This program is shaping the future of development in the Southwest San Fernando Valley with an emphasis on equity and sustainability. At CicLAvia–The Valley, they will have lawn games and coloring activities for kids to keep the fun rolling during their conversations!

L.A. Works will bring water and energy saving information, and resources to help people decrease their carbon footprint and save money. 

StreetsLA will be sharing information related to all their overall operations, specifically how the Bureau helps to improve mobility and sustainability in Los Angeles through maintenance of bicycle lanes and other infrastructure. They will also be sharing information on infrastructure projects and repairs relevant to the West Valley area.

The Boys & Girls Club Of The West Valley will be on site sharing information about the programs they offer to the community.

Roll on by to the UNITE Cultural Center (21710 Sherman Way) and unleash your creative spirit with The GR818ERS as they bring art, music and dance to the streets of Canoga Park. Drop in to UNITE to get creative and learn about youth programs, cultural events, and other activities taking place this year.

Winnetka Hub

The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment will bring swag and Neighborhood Council information. 

El Proyecto del Barrio will be sharing information about the free services they offer to the community. They will also have small goodies to give away at their table, like pens, stickers, hand sanitizers, and more!

Resources Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mounts (RCDSMM) will have an interactive ember house to demonstrate how fire embers can get into the home. They will have information about home hardening, landscaping, & other free services they offer to the community, such as environmental education. They will also bring all kinds of cool artifacts of animals and things that live in the natural environments around us here in Los Angeles. 

SAMO Fund will be signing folks up to receive free native milkweed in April at the Tarzana earth day event. They will be talking about the benefits of local plants to local pollinators, and will be chatting with folks about their free plant giveaways, learning opportunities at the native plant nursery we run, etc. 

Come visit La Troca to learn more about the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area! Meet an NPS ranger and their incredible team of volunteers to hear more about the wildlife, recreation, and cultural history of their park. Come out and find new places to hike in the largest urban park in the nation!

The City Of LA Community Investment For Families Department will be providing bicycle and pedestrian safety information along with reading materials. They will also provide FREE bike helmets & wheel reflectors to all youth. 

Visit the Los Angeles Zoo booth to learn about animals and the conservation projects the Zoo is working on in Los Angeles and worldwide!

The Winnetka Neighborhood Council is excited to participate in this great event in the heart of their community! The council will be on site to conduct outreach with Stakeholders and neighbors, talking about different activities and listening to their aspirations and concerns. Community members will be able to share a "Winnetka Memory" to add to those collected during the Centennial event. Lastly, they will have a prize wheel with chances to win lots of great Winnetka swag!

Los Angeles City Lifeguards will be recruiting for lifeguards in Los Angeles. 

The LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will be offering voter registration assistance and information on other services that the county department provides, such as how to obtain vital records, document recording, and property records to name a few. 

SAFE will be doing giveaways, promoting their events, along with promoting resources.

Visit the Los Angeles STEM Collective in front of Sutter Middle School (Sherman Way @ Winnetka) where they will have information on local STEM programs, resources, and activities for the whole family. Reseda Hub

Los Angeles Clean Cities is the local Department of Energy Clean Cities coalition which works to reduce petroleum usage nation-wide across more than 75 active coalitions. They partner with local stakeholders to assist in transitioning to alternative fuel vehicles and to help grow alternative fuel infrastructure. In equal parts, and also provide community outreach and educational efforts related to bringing these technologies and options to the public and informing them of opportunities available to them to make these same transitions.

LADOT will share information about the Reseda Boulevard Complete Streets Project, via project boards at the booth. They will also share information about LADOT services and will have an opportunity for people to sign up for their newsletter to stay in touch/informed.

LADOT Transit Service Information will be helping students and seniors with TAP card applications. 

The Creativity Crisis Center is a contemporary art museum in the San Fernando Valley. We showcase works by SFV artists while uncovering the lost stories that have unfolded here. Past exhibitions have included the paintings of John Killduff, Jeffrey Vallence, Veronica Reynolds, as well as students at CSUN's MFA in Visual Arts program. The CCC has presented at the Hammer Museum and at Designer Con. We've recently taken CCC out of the gallery and into workshops aimed at helping folks regain their spark in the midst of a creativity crisis. 

At CicLAvia the co-founders of the CCC, Josh Heller and Daniel Rolnik, would like to offer our creativity crisis intervention services. With a pair of typewriters at a table and benches beneath an umbrella we will help participants develop a "prescription" to help resolve their creative crises. Reseda Renaissance will be creating an interactive festive photo booth by setting up their' cutout "R" for their 10th year celebration. 

Pacoima Beautiful launched Electro Bici, the first e-bike program in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. Electro Bici is a long-term lending program and cohort members will receive training, participate in Community Bike Rides and workshops. 

The Reseda Neighborhood Council will have coloring Reseda postcards and an opportunity to learn more about civic involvement.

The Trust for Public Land, along with LA Sanitation and Council District 3, are planning a greenway project along the LA River in Reseda. They will be providing information on the project as well as ways to stay informed and engaged as the project moves forward.

The Reseda Park Triangle project is looking at incorporating new improvements focused on water quality and river access. MRCA will be sharing concepts and collecting feedback via a survey and comment cards.

ONEgeneration will be providing free COVID at home tests along with sanitizers. They will also be providing information on events being held at ONEgeneration, and providing assistance for people needing to make appointments for vaccinations.
