CicLAvia is one of the largest open streets events in the country—a free event, open to all. At CicLAvia, individuals and families are encouraged to explore by foot, bike, and other forms of non-motorized transport.

What Will You See At A CicLAvia event? 

  • This event will feature a series of guided group bike rides and walks along Venice Boulevard between National and the surrounding neighborhoods highlighting the recent transportation safety improvements. The street will remain open to cars, and parking and access to businesses will not be impacted.*
  • We encourage participants to explore the area safely. There will also be a Hub at Venice and Bagley with music, street games and other activities for all ages and abilities.
  • People enjoying Venice Blvd and the surrounding community on foot, bike, scooter, skateboard, or wheels
  • People looking to support restaurants, shops, and businesses in the community
  • Hub at Venice and Bagley with music, street games, community booths and other activities for all ages and abilities

Introduce Yourself To Potential Customers Passing By Your Door

  • PLAN TO BE OPEN ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. (Sunday, July 23, 2pm-6pm). Make your storefront visible with signage and banners.
  • BRING YOUR BUSINESS OUTSIDE. Do you have permission to use the sidewalk in front of your business? If so, bring products, music, or seating outside. Remember to maintain the required 4’ clearance for ADA access.
  • HELP GET THE WORD OUT IN ADVANCE. Display a Venice Boulevard! poster or give Venice Boulevard! postcards to your customers. Request supplies at [email protected].  
  • JOIN THE VENICE BOULEVARD! SAVINGS PROGRAM. Offer a special or discount and be listed for free on our Venice Boulevard! webpage and interactive digital map (map.ciclavia.org), subject to approval. To participate, email [email protected] or call 213.355.8500 by Wednesday, July 19. Include the Business Name, Special/Discount Offer, Business address, Business website link (if available), and Business phone.

Street Closure Information

*Bagley Ave (south of Venice Blvd, between Venice Blvd and the alleyway, in the City of L.A.) will be closed to car traffic from 12pm-8pm that day. There will be no parking or vehicle access allowed during these hours. Main St (between the alleyway and Culver Blvd) will remain fully open.
