Pocari Sweat, a Japanese sports drink brand, will be sampling FREE bottles of their electrolyte drink. They will also have a vending machine interaction with CicLAvia participants. If you follow Pocari Sweat on Instagram you will receive a token to use at the vending machine. Complete the challenge prompted by the vending machine to win a water bottle!
The South L.A Chamber will be boosting local businesses and providing resources. They'll be showcasing the best of South LA with their NEW 2024 Destination Guide. It's all about celebrating our community together!
The City of Los Angeles is working to improve traffic safety along Western Avenue. StreetsLA will be gathering input on how the corridor can support slower vehicle speeds and be a more pleasant place to walk and bike. Their booth will include project information and interactive activities that ask participants to vote on different project design elements.
Streets For All will be tabling at CicLAvia to engage with the South LA community, find new volunteers, and showcase their current transit projects!
The Metro Bike Share staff is excited to meet you and share more information about the bike share program! They’ll have cool swag available and the opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences using Metro Bike Share through their community survey. Metro Bikes will be available to check out on a first-come, first-served basis at our temporary station at the Exposition Hub from 9am-2:30pm. Metro Bike Share staff will be available for assistance and bike returns from 9am-4pm. Please note that this station will be removed at the end of the event. If you wish to return your bike after 4pm, please find an open dock at a station nearby. Download the Metro Bike Share app to purchase a pass ahead of time and view other bike share stations near the route. Don’t forget to follow @bikemetro on social media, and always remember to return your Metro Bike to a station when you are done riding.
The LA Philharmonic/Promotions and Partnerships booth will provide details about upcoming events at The Ford, Hollywood Bowl, and with the LA Phil. Visitors can collect stickers, brochures, and fans (while supplies last). The booth will also feature Bowlie, the Hollywood Bowl-branded backdrop, perfect for photo opportunities. Additionally, they will offer Rewilder bags, crafted from past Hollywood Bowl street post signs, and a voucher for a select LA Phil show at the Hollywood Bowl this season.
Did someone say FREE books? The Los Angeles Public Library will be giving out free books via the infamous book bike, along with assorted branded swag. They will also be sharing information about all the free resources and programs at the library!

Adorn yourself with a custom sash; decorate your ride with recycled and repurposed materials such as fabric, paper, trim, feathers, rubber stamps, embellishments, and other repurposed items; and accessorize your wheels with free spoke cards featuring artworks from Getty's collection. - El BiciCrófono Performance Art Bicycle presented by Getty - El BiciCrófono is a human-powered performance art experience that brings the goodness and revolution of bicycles to communities across Los Angeles. Each event focuses on a special guest artist from the neighborhood, and for South LA they are proudly featuring THRILLERS—a sibling duo and percussionist performing funky synth wave tunes! This mobile bicycle stage is towed by a tandem bicycle, fueled by tacos, and propelled by love for our city. It heals the soul with live music, performance art, and karaoke. Please join the fun and help “Amplify The Message!” @reciclos
- “Super Steed” Art Bicycle presented by Getty - Mysterious, magical, and filled with fun! The “Super Steed,” built by local artist David Nast Cole, stands twice the height of a standard bicycle, and is adorned in hand-stitched, embroidered textiles and flags that carry a whimsical narrative through its iconography. This ornate approach was inspired by medieval renaissance manuscripts featuring decorative horses, found in Getty’s collection.
Swing by the ACLA (Architecture for Communities Los Angeles) booth to turn your love for LA into art! Their booth will feature a large banner that will be filled with contributions from both kids and adults. Additionally, there will be a cut-building drawing activity to encourage children to get creative.
Ready to plant some seeds? Community Services Unlimited Inc. will have seeds available for community members to kick start their summer garden! They will also be distributing outreach materials for their various programs. Visit their booth to learn more about their local organic grocery store and farm!
The Esperanza Community Housing Corporation will be sharing more information about two statewide campaigns: "Prepare for Extreme Heat" and "Save Our Water." Visit their booth to learn more!

South LA Eco-Lab partners will take over the Western Hub to promote and get feedback on Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) projects going on in the area. Learn more about how the South LA Eco-Lab plans to make South LA a greener, healthier place. You’ll find promotional goodies, community involvement opportunities, and more from these partners:
- GRID Alternatives Workforce Development will share more information on their PAID Solar Training Program. Interested participants will be able to ask any questions and learn more about the program's offerings and sign up on the spot.
- GRID Alternatives will have an informational booth to share information on the Single Family Home Solar Installation program and Cool Roofs. GRID's Outreach team will collect contact information from interested residents.
- TreePeople will be offering FREE Native seed packets, Native plants, coloring books, and fruit trees! TreePeople will also provide an interactive educational demonstration station using their "Tree-Care" in a suitcase.
- Coalition for Responsible Community Development will be handing out information for individuals who need housing, workforce training, or business assistance. They will also be providing resource referral cards!
- Strategic Actions for a Just Economy will provide information on how to protect your rights as residential and commercial tenants. They will also provide opportunities for tenants to connect to resources!
- Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education (SCOPE) will be offering resources on their climate justice work, grassroots committees, and other resources. our section will be interactive and
- Climate Resolve is paving 40 city blocks in South LA with cool pavement to create a network of cool streets to provide urban heat mitigation, encourage walking, and connections to local schools and parks! At their booth, you can vote on what streets you'd like to be paved, see how cool pavement works in real time, and learn more about how cool pavement is one of many strategies to cool down communities.
- LADOT staff will share information about their Universal Basic Mobility (UBM) program and the elements that are part of the South LA EcoLab project. The South LA EcoLab program elements include electric vehicle charging stations, electric vehicle car share, stress free connections, active transportation improvements, and the e-bike program.
- BlueLA will be offering informational flyers, promotional codes, an electric vehicle for viewing.
- T.R.U.S.T. South LA will be handing out educational material on Community Land Trusts, information on how to become a member, and promotional goodies. T.R.U.S.T. South LA's mission is to serve as a steward for community-controlled land; to be a catalyst for values-driven, community-serving development; to build awareness and community leadership in issues of housing, transportation and recreation; and to create programs and initiatives that encourage community building and economic opportunity.
Visit the Creative Faces booth for FREE face painting! They will provide face painting for guests of all ages.
L.A. Skate Hunnies will offer exciting skate performances from 12:30pm - 2:30pm, DJ, skate dancing, and a community roll-out through the route.

CicLAvia has partnered with Unlimited Biking to provide on site bike rentals on 6/23 with pick up and drop off at the Western Ave Hub! Check here to reserve a bike in advance for 2-hour, 4-hour, or entire day time slots. A limited number of bikes will be available to rent at the event on a first come, first served basis. Helmet rental is complementary.
Chesterfield Square Community Block Club will be providing information about the Block Club, their monthly meetings and activities. They will also be providing a neighborhood directory and promoting their Play Streets event happening on June 29, 2024.
Empowerment Congress Central Area Neighborhood Council will be joining us at CicLAvia to share information on how community members can get involved and exercise their civic super powers!
The LA Metro Community Relations Office will be updating and handing out information on the Vermont Transit Corridor Project, TAP, LIFE GoPass, and K Line Northern Extension. Visit their booth for more information!
The Mayor’s Office of Community Engagement will provide information on available resources. In addition, they will also have an interactive activity and be available to connect with residents.

Relax in the shaded parklet and play some games in the play zone brought to you by SCAG and the Go Human initiative - a community engagement program with the goals of reducing traffic collisions in Southern California and encouraging people to walk and bike more.
Biking While Black is looking forward to connecting with the South LA community. They will be sharing resources and assisting people with voter registration! Visit their booth for more information.
BikeLA will be conducting survey outreach for the Community Transit Needs Assessment in East LA. They will also be promoting their summer programming happening in West Athens/Westmont, where they will have regular bicycle safety classes.
The Los Angeles Eco-Village Institute, a Cooperative Resources and Services Project (CRSP), will offer informative materials about the LA Eco-Village. They will also have opportunities to learn more about eco-villages, intentional living, cohousing and bicycle projects.
LA Clean Cities Coalition will have information available to inform the public about alternatives to gasoline combustion vehicles. They will also respond to questions about related efforts like current EV incentives, rebates, and general questions from the public.
The Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment will be joining CicLAvia to share more information regarding Neighborhood councils and will be distributing LA city free swag (while supplies last)!
The City of LA Department of Cannabis Regulation will be joining CicLAvia to engage guests in a public information campaign centered on the health, safety, and precautions of cannabis products. No cannabis products will be sold or distributed. There will be fun interactive games with prizes and giveaways!
The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) Transit Team is ready to assist and educate the community with public transportation needs. They will be available to help seniors and students with applications for TAP cards and a low-income program to get free rides on public transportation.

Looking for employment? Para Los Niños (PLN) will be sharing a ton of Employment Opportunities and PLN community resources.
Calling all youth ages 6-14 years old! The City of LA’s Traffic Safety program will be providing FREE youth bike helmets (while supplies last)! They will also have wheel reflectors and bike/pedestrian safety reading material. Visit their booth for more information!
Come visit the L.A. Zoo booth to learn more about our local wildlife and the conservation efforts the Zoo has been helping with. There will be touchable biofacts, experienced educators to answer your questions, and prizes to walk away with if you can answer their questions!
