Activities Along the Route

Reminder: This is NOT a traditional CicLAvia Sunday. Reseda Blvd will remain open to cars, and we encourage participants to explore the area safely. 

Activities abound at the Ready for Reseda event! You can also check out shops, eateries, and activities along the route using our interactive digital map!

Hubs

Both Hubs will have:

  • Free water stations and restrooms
  • First Aid stations
  • Bike parking
  • Free pedicabs – The pedicabs stop near the CicLAvia tent, so just look for the sign! First come first served.
  • Free bike repair at Reseda Park Hub ONLY

11:11 Projects presents DJ Arturo Bodan

Check out LA VACAcicleta as they walk participants through a seed planting workshop and seed exchange library! Walk away with your very own plant, and/or trade seeds to grow your garden! 

The CSUN Institute for Sustainability will be joining us to share information about their work, their gardens, and will also be giving away FREE seedlings (while supplies last). 

The Office of Traffic Safety Program will provide FREE safety reading material on Bicycle and Pedestrian safety to anyone who visits their booth. They will also be giving away FREE Youth bicycle helmets and bicycle wheel reflectors. (Ages 5- 16, while supplies last).

The Office of Councilmember John Lee, Council District 12 will be on site to share information about the local services in the district with constituents.

The Office of Councilmember Nithya Raman, Council District 4 staff will be at CicLAvia with FREE organics recycling pails for Los Angeles residents. They will also have brochures and information about various local services. Visit their booth for more information!

LA Department of Transportation (LADOT) will be sharing information about the project and department wide resources.

THE SKATESIDE will have a mini skate activation with free beginner skateboard lessons and fun skate obstacles. Some rentals will be available!

Safe Moves is hosting a kids bike rodeo - this interactive streetscape with scenarios will illustrate safe walking and biking tips and tricks!

Come visit LA LA River X, a community archive project that collects, amplifies, and preserves YOUR Los Angeles River stories. Stop by their booth to explore the entire digital collection, see a selection of photos and artworks on display, talk about the river, sign up to be a guest host, and tell the world what the river means to you. And...we have everything you need to craft a fun LA River button that tells your river story, and you can take it home with you as your very own keepsake.

LA Department of Transportation (LADOT) will be sharing information about the project and department wide resources.

Office of Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, District 3 will be joining us to share constituent service requests, and provide information about various City services. 

The Office of Nithya Raman, Council District 4 staff will be on hand with FREE organics recycling pails for Los Angeles residents. They will also have brochures and information about various local services. Visit their booth for more information!

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) Transit Team is ready to assist and educate the community with public transportation needs. They will be supporting seniors and students with applications for reduced-fare TAP cards while providing information on how to apply for free trips for low-income families

The City of LA’s Bureau of Engineering will be providing visuals and outreach for the new LA River bike path from Vanalden Ave to Balboa Blvd.

The Los Angeles City Planning Department will bring materials showcasing their newly released Zoning Map draft for the Reseda neighborhood, along with other neighborhoods across the Southwest San Fernando Valley (including Lake Balboa, Encino, Tarzana, Canoga Park, Winnetka, Woodland Hills, and West Hills). They will highlight how the new zoning will complement infrastructure improvements like those along Reseda Blvd. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to Planning staff on the draft Zoning Map.

ONEgeneration will be joining us to share more information about their upcoming events and programs they offer such as utility bill assistance. 

Reseda Neighborhood Council will be distributing neighborhood council swag, coloring (for children/families),  information for community members, and will be available to answer any questions!

LA Metro will be on site sharing information about the programs and projects below:  

Join LA VACAcicleta in creating Sun Prints (or Cyanotypes), an image making technique that uses the sun and nature to create photographs at Reseda Park! You can make your own design using nature, or use one of our limited edition designs for CicLAvia Reseda!

Unlimited Biking will be offering top-tier bike rentals! You can reserve a bike in advance here. A limited number of bikes will be available to rent on site as well on a first come, first served basis. In addition, a portion of the rental fees are donated to CicLAvia!

Bike repair brought to you by Domestique Cycles

Group Bike Rides between the two hubs will be led by Bike LA along Reseda Blvd at: 1:30pm / 2:30pm / 3:30pm. To participate, meet the guides at the Bike LA booth at the Reseda Park Hub. Each ride will include an ABC Quick Check, Bike Safety, and Bike Helmet Fit training session. Rides are just over 2.5 miles roundtrip.
